3rd November 2020, a big part of Seremban was hit with heavy downpour causing the river to overflow and water levels started rising in the dead of the night. As many as 402 families were evacuated by authorities while many others had to resort to sleeping in their cars.
This unfortunate event triggered us the need to establish the Emergency Disaster Relief Aid Program. Some of these victims’ houses were almost completely emptied by the flood, while many suffered material damages that were beyond repair. For our first response, we went over late night and brought over bread, biscuits, clean drinking water, duvet and clean bedsheets.
Strongly backed by Kolej Tuanku Ja’afar, this program enables us to deliver pre-loved furniture to these flood victims. We transported over divans, bed frames, mattresses, sofas, cupboards and cabinets to help them with an easier recovery from this disaster.
